SHOWGIRL ZONE FINALS COMING TO BLACKTOWN

On March 13th 2010 Blacktown Show Society will be hosting the Showgirl Zone Final at Blacktown Workers Club.

This will be a first for the Blacktown Society. The two finalists then go on to the Royal Show.

Blacktown's Search for the Blacktown City Showgirl - 2010
Starts Again

The Blacktown & District Agricultural and Horticultural Society is searching for young ladies aged between 18-24 to become this years Showgirl.

Rebecca Pearson was the winner of the 2008 Quest also 2009. Rebecca represented Blacktown in the Zone Final at Albion Park this year and will represent Blacktown again in the Zone Final to be held at Blacktown in 2010.

Wilma Drower President of the Blacktown & District AH&I Show Society Inc recently said "Her knowledge of agriculture is unbelievable, which she is heavily involved in. We are proud to have Rebecca as this years winner of The Blacktown City Showgirl Awards."

The lucky winner of the competiton has the chance to win a trip around the world by becoming Royal Sydney Easter Showgirl.

Previous Showgirl winner, Melissa Salmon says "the competiton aims to recognise the contribution young women have made to their local community. It's also a great way to meet new people and have a lot of fun."

The competition is being held on the
14th of February 2010 and the winner will be announced at The Official Opening of the Show Saturday 20th February 2010
