The Blacktown Show Presidents Message
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 93rd Annual Blacktown City Show.
Once again we have two days of action-packed fun with entertainment the whole family can enjoy.
All the traditional things you would expect to see at an Agricultural and Horticultural Show will again be on display.
These include the Woodchopping, Sheep Shearing, Caged Birds Poultry, Horticulture, Arts & Craft, Cooking and Needlework competition and displays.
The children can look forward to the Animal Farm Nursery, Reptile Display, Antique Machinery Display, Professor Wallace’s Puppet Theatre and Warren Bell’s Magic Show.
This year’s major attraction in Centre Ring are the Rampt Mini FMX and on the main stage, by popular demand, we have Elvis in Concert featuring the ever popular David Cazalet and award winning song and dance man, Brian Lorenz.
Our Ute Muster & Car Show on the Sunday has continued to be a success and, as usual, we will be holding an auction after the presentation to the winners to raise money for the Cancer Council Relay for Life.
The amount of talent uncovered in the Search for a Star Talent Quest on the Sunday has no doubt launched some new careers in the entertainment industries over the years.
I would like to thank our sponsors who continue to give so generously and make this major community event possible, in particular Blacktown City Council, who not only sponsor the Fireworks Spectacular but maintain and upgrade the showground.
Finally, I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to members of my Show Committee who spend many hours putting this Show together.
I look forward to seeing you at the Show
Wilma Drower, President
